Parking in Sóller
Firstly, bear in mind that Sóller follows a medieval street pattern, the streets are narrow and often one way. Don’t despair! That’s part of our town’s charm. And remember it’s hard to park in most city centres. And spare a thought for Venice!
With a little planning, parking shouldn’t be an issue. Just take a few minutes to read this section and look at the map at the bottom of this page.
Remember too, that you can generally pull in just in front of our house for ten minutes to unload your bags. And we can then send you off to a good parking space.
The Basics
There are three options.
1. Free parking all the time. Just park on the main road. That’s the Carretera de Sóller, the big one that passes the town on the way to the Port. Anywhere between the roundabout near the Ford garage and the Botanic garden is good and leaves you about 10 minutes walk to our house. It is shown on the map below in a light green colour. If you are only going to use your car once a day, we recommend this option.
2. Municipal car parks. Shown on map below with red pins

You have to put money in the parking metre. It is around 90 cents per hour, though there is a daily maximum of around 5 euros.
The times you have to pay are as follows:
Monday to Friday: from 9.00 to 13.00 and again from 17.00 to 20.00. So it’s free at lunch time and again all night.
Saturday: from 9.00 to 13.00
Sunday and holidays: Free.
Note: if you put money in while it’s free this will be “saved up” for you till when the charging period starts again.
Make sure your parking ticket is clearly visible on your dashboard.
3. Blue parking spaces on the street. Details as above: BUT PLEASE NOTE that there is a maximum time period for parking in these. So the car parks are much better.
FINES: Municipal parking inspectors are merciless and efficient. Be warned. The fine for not paying is 80 euros. And the fine for exceeding your stay is 60 euros. Both can be reduced to 15 euros by paying within 48 hours. Ask us how.
