ship ahoy

Sóller’s enticing horseshoe bay harbours the only port on this rugged northwest coast so there are plenty of options for taking to the waves: from pedal boats with slides on the back and cute kayaks to sleek cruisers for ten. Let’s have a look:

Kayaks: check out Nautic Sóller. They range from 10 euros an hour to 50 for the day for a one-seater and from 15 to 75 euros for a two-seater. They also run guided kayak tours for 50 euros, exploring the most inaccessible corners of the coast, visiting creeks where you can swim and snorkel in clear waters, and explore caves.

mezzo magic

Meanwhile, if you want to whizz along the coast or just want to get from A to B, Chris and his team at Mezzo Magic operate an on-demand water taxi service.

Other water taxis can be booked to go practically anywhere, including Cala Deia Banyalbufar, Valldemossa, and even the distant island of Dragonera with Maverick Sea.

Charter with skipper and crew: Enjoy the freedom of the open sea for a small group of just four to a lavish party of your 414 closest friends. See dolphins, turtles and flying fish. There’s certainly something for everyone in Port Sóller. Mezzo Magic specialise in beautiful sail boats that take from five to 12 passengers, visiting secret coves and magical blue lagoons. Meanwhile, Andrew runs a sleek little catamaran for between 4 to ten passengers at 30 euros per person. Call him on (34) 600018373.

bonnie

Bonnie Lass Charters takes you out on a 1949 Scottish vessel (and star of Fisherman’s friend adverts!) for the day or for sunset and comfortable hosts ten passengers. A full day with lunch on board is between 100 and 130 euros, with cheaper options such as a half day, no lunch, at around 60, or sunset for 45.

maverick

The lovely Maverick Sea takes 12 passengers, at around 58 euros per head (half day) or 100 per head (full day). Nautic Soller also rent boats with skipper. Finally, at the extreme end of the scale, Barcos Azules has a whole fleet of eight vessels at your disposal for the ultimate mega party, for groups of 10 to 400.
